The 4‑H club program is the foundation of Ocean County 4‑H! Through regular meetings and activities, a club provides youth with a welcoming environment in which to learn, grow, and make lifelong friends. Ocean County 4‑H clubs meet at least nine times a year, and are lead by two dedicated, knowledgeable, and trained adult leaders.
A 4‑H club meeting usually includes fun activities, educational opportunities, and a business meeting, during which the club's members direct the future activities of the club. This emphasis on developing youth in leadership roles is an integral part of 4‑H and probably why 4‑H alumni include so many former U.S. Presidents and community leaders!
Most of the current Ocean County 4‑H clubs explore a particular project area, such as animals, science or arts. If you do not see your preferred project area listed, please contact the Ocean County 4‑H Office. We are eager to work with you to find the right club, or to start a brand new one!
