Ocean County 4-H

Ocean County 4-H uses a learn-by-doing approach that enables youth to become competent, caring, and contributing citizens of the world.

The goals of the 4-H Youth Development Program are to:

  • Provide quality informal education programs for youth in grades K - 13
  • Encourage responsibility, community awareness and character development in youth
  • Strengthen the skills of adults working with youth
  • Improve community partnerships and collaborations

Ocean County 4-H Club Program

Through regular meetings and activities, 4-H clubs provide youth with a consistent and welcoming environment in which to learn, grow, and make lifelong friends.

Afterschool and Summer Programs

The Ocean County 4-H Office provides unique educational programming afterschool and during school breaks. Topics include: cooking, nutrition, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), team building, and healthy living.

School Enrichment

Invite the Ocean County 4-H staff to your classroom! We can provide enrichment programming on a wide variety of topics, including: character education, life skills development, environmental science, and healthy living.

Professional Development

Half-day, full-day, and multiple-session special interest trainings are held on a regular basis by 4-H staff. These trainings are ideal for educators, community youth workers, and after-school staff.
